The question isn't whether the mouse was useful... like you're saying, a ball has its advantages. But think about it compared to the competition. With the price people were paying for the mighty mouse, should you be required to use the rubbing alcohol trick every week or two? Should it feel like something you got with a cheap Dell instead of a 40 dollar mouse from a manufacturer who most definitely has a better handle on hardware design? And I decry the notion that this mouse was useful for graphic design in the slightest. It's low resolution, imperfect feel, and a picky right mouse button make it worse than anything you could have gotten from logitech or razr for the same price.
Great Jolly Roger... The thumbnail is highly misleading.

He's not paying poor people to not have kids. He is proposing to pay known child abusers not to have kids. THAT is how they decide who qualifies.?
"Whatever the rights and wrongs of publicising the incident, let's just hope the daughter gets a, ahem, stiff sentence."I don't know... I hope she gets off...Come on. None of you thought of that? |

I think any pet owner can vouch that animals indeed do have human emotions. When I was growing up we had an older female dog and a young male dog. They were always together and you could tell that the older female was taking the motherly role over the younger dog. One day while we were all away at work and school she died of old age and for quite a while after that he just wasn't the same. He acted like he was moping around, didn't show much interest in eating and just generally seemed unhappy. But, over time, as with humans, he returned back to normal. So I definitely thing that animals go through a grief period, it would be hard to believe that they dont form bonds and notice when that is broken. |
