Lasers aren't a perfectly tight beam so at longer distances they diverge. It's not hard to think a beam at 2000ft would be large enough to fill the entire field of view for a pilot as well it bounces readily. So a tiny dot at 50ft becoems a massive beam at 2000ft which can reflect off objects at fairly high intensities..
Slightly misleading but still impressive. Piracy has not tripled, just the amount of *new* sites per month.

Interestingly, this is the reason we see a spike in suicides shortly after prescription of anti-depressant medication. The drugs take their time to reach full effect and in the time between, some patients lose their sense of apathy first and commit suicide before the drugs can really help.Bit scary really.?
Yes, I understand streaming shows. What I am suggesting, however, is that they bypass traditional streaming and go straight to bittorrent distribution. This would reduce their overhead for online distribution to near zero. Incorporating built in advertising would ensure that revenue was potentially generated.
