I think games like COD were better before party chat (it wasn't that long ago btw). yes, some people were annoying, but thats what mute is for. at least you could meet new people and tell the other team how you felt after the match. I know a lot of people feel party chat has in some ways taken a lot away from these types of gamesalso the only place where cheating can take place isn't just games with no re-spawn. in pretty much any gamemode a friend can join in mid game and end up on the other team. then if he's in party chat he can give up all types of information. I know that might seem silly, but these are "ranked" matches with leaderboards, and some people take that seriously.in the end it may be an inconvenience, but it's something they're doing to make gameplay more fair. also I think it's funny people act like the right to party chat is in the constitution or something. like many things in life it comes first with much freedom, but then as it's drawbacks manifest, regulation is put into effect.and btw, the price of xbox live has not changed since they added party chat. so don't act like you pay $50 a year for party chat

To me it just seems pointless to compare the modern day "hipster" to the hippies and the Beats and the original hipsters. To start, no one claims to be a hipster, at least not in my experience. Has anyone here ever met a self-described "hipster"? If people don't self-identify as "hipsters," why pretend they are a social or political movement, why call them a group, like the hippies and the Beats? To me, the word hipster always sounds like an insult. I've never heard anyone use the word hipster without intending it to be derogatory. It's a word you use on someone who wears clothes you don't like, in a manner you don't like. I also think it's pointless and redundant to mock hipsters, because the word hipster is itself a term of mockery. It's like saying "you know what's wrong with *****? they're total dicks!" So stop trying to get all intellectual about what you think is wrong with hipsters. You can't critique a subculture that doesn't exist.?
As a giant geek, the one think I am proud of is not playing WoW (tried it, never got into it). I mean, I have enough vices as it is; alcohol, mary jane... I don't need another one.
