I realized something one day... well read someone else's post on here one day and it made me realize something about Apple vs Everyone else and it's all about the mentality of the consumer.With computers... people who want a 2 giga this, and a 4 mega that.. are going to get a PC... (comparing specs does not make sense so we can all stop doing it now)... people who want a Mac get a mac.Same thing with the phones... people ARE NOT thinking, "I want a touch screen phone, let me compare them"People want an iPhone or they don't.So making an "iPhone killler" or "like iPhone but better" or "like iPhone but cheaper" are NOT going to sway over people who want iPhones. They just want an iPhone.!

I graduated from this school in '98. I'm really surprised that this article made it on Digg... the school is tiny. But for what it's worth I'd like to give you my opinion on the matter.Dan was a great, articulate teacher--something severely lacking at that school when I was going there. I read the original article that was optional for these "kids", the other day through a local news website. I loves me some science, and it was an interesting piece, however, the scientist has much more work to do. She might be on to something though... still it won't be a massive overhaul in Darwinian theory. That aside, I think the material is very age appropriate. Dan's apology, I'm guessing, was more coerced than sincere. He knows just as well as I that the area is prudish, bigoted, racist, and the like. Of course many people would be offended by what "happened" to their kids, but Health class still teaches Sex Ed at 5th grade, with a reiteration/in depth teaching Freshman year. From what I remember, the other English classes brought up many manuscripts/material that in its time or another had sparked debates and were socially crucial. In my opinion he was given flack simply because of the material mentioning Darwin's theories outside of science class. There are a lot right-wing Christians... very fundamental in that area. It's really no surprise at all that they raised hell, and turned it into a charade about something else.Not only is Dan a great teach, but he's a bad-ass guitar player... I guess he's really playing the blues now. What a shame.

Thats awesome! Leave it to a Syrian to be so careless. Wouldn't it be great if Israel told Syria they should be wiped off the face of the earth the same way Iran did Israel? What kind of reaction do you think they'd get? 10 to 1 Syria would strike immediately. I just hope Israel gets to Iran quickly and the US backs them fully. The stall tactic Iran's using is only allowing them to stockpile nuclear material for use later. Next up: North Korea.
