You use the word collectivist a lot, but it is an important word for people to understand and not just bury you when you use it. We have many collectivist policies in our country that are ruining individualism and freedom, and instead lumping people in as part of a giant group, the collective, where individual rights are neglected and ignored, like in tyrannical countries. Racism is simply one of the ugliest forms of collectivism.
When I was 13, I used to game from 3pm (the time I got out from school) till 2am... this habit of mine didn't end till my senior year (17) [my school grades didn't suffer at all, but my social life definitely did]I would be holed up in my room for almost 12 hours just playing... eventually I got bored of gaming, the most I do now is 30-60 minutes per day, and even then I stop in between games, or I don't play for a few days.I'm 20 now. I still love video games, but now I prefer to play them with real life friends (LANs) and not for long periods of time. Looking back at what I used to do and how I treated my family when I was with a game-face, it breaks my heart.

Good luck without Bob Hoskins. If they are really going to make it without destroying the legacy they'll need another really strong actor in his place. He's just so ***** good (beginning at 4:20):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eosrujtjJHA.
A battery-only EV will satisfy 90% of most drivers TRIPS which means it is 100% unable to satisfy most drivers NEEDS. I've watched that entire movie. It's fascinating, but the disconnect from the Hollywood elites who had the luxury of getting and using an EV1 as a SECOND CAR somehow thinking that it would work for most people was remarkable.Almost no one will accept a car that will be unable to accommodate their unexpected need to drive more than XX miles NOW at THIS MOMENT. There is no way that any significant numbers of people will say "I don't mind if today when I go to the office and have an emergency client meeting come up in a city 200 miles away that I'll have to spend the next hour renting a normal car from Avis." No one thinks "I'll buy a computer that works 9 hours without a problem and then just doesn't for one hour." 90% of TRIPS is totally unacceptable for the overwhelming majority of drivers. I don't accept a refrigerator that keeps my food cold "most of the time" and only spoils it "occasionally."The EV1 was only HALF the solution. It was never going to work without a small ICE generator that the driver can OPTIONALLY use to charge the batteries to never be stuck on the side of the road.Sure, celebrities like Jay Leno and Mel Gibson thought the EV1 was great, but they have a stable of regular cars too. They have the option of owning a limited range vehicle because they have immediate fallback to a "regular car" in their garage that they can drive on a 500 mile trip NOW if they need to.I deeply wish people would stop trying to bring back the EV1. Yes, GM put a bullet in its head prematurely, but it NEVER was going to be anything other than a niche solution. The Volt, on the other hand, is exactly what we need: All the advantages of the EV1 and NONE of the drawbacks.Plug In Hybrids FTW!!
